DIY - Replacing Pressure Control - Steps

  • Step 1: Turn off power- then disassemble.
  • Step 2: Never attempt any service or repairs on a live circuit.
  • Step 3: Remove the pressure switch cover.
  • Step 4: Use the voltage meter to check the terminal posts for current.
  • Step 5: Use a screwdriver to loosen and remove the wires from the switch's terminal posts.
  • Step 6: Remove the conduit and wires from the pressure switch.
  • Step 7: Remove the pressure switch.
  • Step 8: Replace the pressure gauge.
  • Step 9: Clean the threads.
  • Step 10: Cover the threads with plumber's tape.
  • Step 11: Thread the new pressure switch.
  • Step 12: Insert the wiring.
  • Step 13: Replace the wires onto their respective terminals.
  • Step 14: Replace the pressure switch cover.
