The Powers TM 894 Remote Bulb Thermometers are designed for remote indication of many temperature control applications where accurate temperature indication is required. The remote, surface-mount bulb thermometer is provided with a 10-foot (305 cm) capillary. Plain bulb and averaging bulb styles are also available. The case is made of stainless steel. The capillary has double braided armor to protect against possible kinking.Operation:

The liquid-vapor thermometer is a pressure gauge with a bulb and capillary assembly. Filled with a mixture of liquid and vapor covering the desired temperature range, the fluid boils causing the vapor portion of the bulb to pressurize. This pressure, in turn, expands the bourdon tube portion that is connected to the thermometer pointer through a mechanical linkage. The dial furnished with this instrument is nonlinear because the pressure generated in the system increases progressively. The liquid filled thermometer has a bulb, capillary, and elastic chamber that are completely filled with an actuating medium. The elastic element of the liquid filled instrument is a spiral bourdon tube to which a pointer is directly attached. As the actuating medium expands, the bourdon tube also expands causing the pointer to indicate the sensing bulb temperature on the linear dial. ***Note: Image may not be actual representation of item.
